Seder Moed: Shabbat Chapter 22, 143b-148a סדר מועד :שבת-חבית
Basic
The prayer ends, “And may we see with our eyes Your return to Zion.” Upon giving ourselves over to God and removing the obstacles that seem to separate us, we can next ask and literally expect to see God’s presence with our very eyes. We want to see that God is not only the supreme ruling power but that God totally permeates everything and everyone. He is all that exists—the one and only reality. We have already prayed for our return to God as individuals, the return of the Jewish people as a nation, and a global return of all the nations of the world. Here we also pray for the return of not only the reign of God but also the full presence of God on earth, when we can literally see with our eyes the Shechinah; when everything and everyone will be permeated with Divine presence.
